Intermediate Strategies

The following section will cover strategy for the intermediate player. If you are here then we are assuming you already know the terms, and many of the basics of playing Earth. If you run into a term you don't quite understand, then I definitely suggest going back through the extra-detailed newbie section and reviewing.

As an intermediate player, you basically have the 100 turn start up mastered. You know how to leave protection with some goof defense and offense and a strong self supporting country. So now is the time to pick a strategy to play for this game.

The most common newbie mistake in Earth is to assume that your country has to be a perfectly balanced machine, when in actuality that is the worst mistake you could make. The secret to having a string country in Earth is to specialize. By specialize I don't mean having 1 million jet and nothing else, I mean a specialized strategy that will give you the growth you need to build a strong military and a large country.

In the intermediate section we will cover 4 specialized strategies. The Casher, the Indy, the Techer, and the Farmer. Each one has its own way of producing enough cash flow for you to build a strong top ranked country.

One thing to remember when playing a specialized strategy. In 3 out of the 4 strat's I will show you, you will lose cash on each turn you play. If you are losing military because of it, it means you don't have enough cash to cover your losses. the answer is NOT to build Enterprise zones, or to just keep losing military. The answer is to sell enough stuff the day before to cover your turns for today. Your last turn of each and every day should be used to go to the "market" and sell your goods. If you cannot bear the thought of losing money each turn, then stick with the casher strat. It is a very weak early game strategy, but you wont have to worry abut running out of money.

Now pick a strategy and lets carry on:
